iPhone 7, 7 Plus release date: New iPhones will also come in space black and won't have 64GB storage option?

Reportedly, Apple will be expanding the color option for the next iPhone. Speculations suggest that the Cupertino-based company will be bringing back the space black color option for the iPhone 7 lineup.

According to Forbes, supposed leaks have pointed out that Apple is planning to bring back a space black option for the iPhone 7. Should this be true, this will be the first time that an iPhone lineup will have an all-black color in a long time. The last time that space black was used was for the iPhone 5s, which was released in 2013. Currently, the iPhone lineup is offered in space gray, silver, gold and rose gold.

Although Apple has yet to confirm if the company will indeed be bringing back the space black option for the iPhone 7, some renders of how the color will look like for the new iPhone have already circulated online. Rumors say that Apple may be bringing back this color since the development team has already redesigned the iPhone 7, with more steel-like form in its body that will anodize well with Space Black.

Meanwhile, aside from having a space black option, it is said that Apple will be bringing huge improvements and abrupt changes to the iPhone 7. Reportedly, one thing that the Cupertino-based tech giant will change in the next iPhone is scrapping the 64GB onboard storage option. Reportedly, the new iPhone lineup will be offered in 32-GB storage as its base model, and then a 128GB version is the next variant in the lineup. The top-tier iPhone 7 will have 256GB of onboard storage.

Other purported changes to the iPhone 7 include a slimmer profile and thinner body; ditching the standard 3.5 mm audio jack in favor of a Lightning-type port; and step-up improvements for under-the-hood specs. However, all of the supposed specs and features remain hearsay until Apple reveals the next flagship, allegedly in late 2016, possibly by September.
