Apple fans eager for more news on the highly anticipated iPhone 5S might want to check out a new video leaked online claiming to show the new device up close.

The video was posted online by MacMixing and purports to show the iPhone 5S in "champagne" color, a more subtle shade than a bling-style gold.

The backplates of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5 are compared, and the video also shows what the iPhone C might look like in blue.

The front of the device is not shown in the video.

It is rumored that Apple will unveil the two new devices at a launch event on September 10, with the iPhone 5S and iPhone C then hitting markets around 10 days after that on September 20.

This would be in keeping with the release of the iPhone 5, which came nine days after it was announced last year on September 12.  Similarly, the iPhone 4S was released on October 4, 2011, 10 days after its announcement.

There was excitement this week when Sonny Dickson posted a gallery to the web reporting to show casing for the new iPhone 5S in a graphite color with black trim.

The iPhone 5S is also predicted to be up to a third faster than its predecessor thanks to an A7 chip.

Fox News' Clayton Morris had this to say on Twitter: "Sources are telling me the new iPhone's A7 chip is running at about 31% faster than A6. I'm hearing it's very fast."

9to5mac reported that the processor for the iPhone 5S would be dual core like the iPhone 5's A6 chip and that Apple had tested 64-bit A7 chips for the new device.

It is expected to incorporate fingerprint technology on the home button and have a dual flash to improve picture quality.

The iPhoneC is expected to be out in a range of bright colours with a scratch-resistant polycarbonate casing allowing it to market at a lower price.
