The top four finalists will be determined after a rigorous and tricky challenge in the upcoming episode of Spike's "Ink Master" season 6.

In "Active Duty," Zap2it reports that the remaining five contestants will be competing for the top four spot by tattooing portraits of active military men and their families. The soldiers are due to be deployed, but they will take some time off to create lasting memories with their loved ones.

Cartermatt reports that this challenge will not be a walk in the part for the artists, as it is always tricky to ink portraits. This is the type of task that pushes their skills beyond their limit. One wrong line or area of shading can completely change what a person's face looks like. If the tattooists are not careful, they will end up getting eliminated.

Meanwhile, Chris Blinston remains to be the frontrunner in the competition. With his talent and careful choice of alliance, he has managed to stick around while other strong contenders have gone home already. With ally Tyler Nolan already eliminated and so few contestants left, there will be no more need for Blinston to play his strategy.

As the series draws to a close, only those who have the skills and the passion for the job will ultimately win the most coveted title and price. This season is particularly special, as all of the artists deserve to win. In the end, only the one who can handle the pressure will emerge as the winner. Who will it be among Blinston, Craig Foster, Matt O'Baugh, Duffy Fortner, and Dave Kruseman?

Last episode's task saw many contestants struggle. They were asked to create realistic footballs for hardcore fans. The NFL superstars' presence also amped the pressure, as the artists had to tattoo their autographs too. Nolan won the challenge and he got a huge advantage going to elimination.

This time, the players became their human canvases. Blinston's work was deemed the best of the bunch, although it did not really impress the judges as before. In a surprise decision, Nolan was sent home as his tattoo was not good enough.

"Ink Master" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on Spike.
