iMac 2016 release date rumors: Desktop computer getting OLED display bar; Kaby Lake pushing back release to 2017?

Apple products are the subject of many rumors following the no-hardware Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event. One of which is the status of the iMac 2016.

The latest reports suggest that the all-new iMac will don the same OLED display bar that the MacBook Pro 2016 is also rumored to get.

It is speculated that this OLED display bar will be integrated on the purported wireless keyboard of the iMac 2016, keeping it in line with all the computing devices Apple will be releasing.

The iMac 2016 is also believed to come with the latest graphics cards by AMD. By the end of the month, the company will launch the Radeon RX 480, which is based on the Polaris 10 aka the fastest of AMD's graphics processing units.

The Radeon RX 480 is expected to cater to intense gaming in high-definition and is tailored to offer unspoiled Virtual Reality or VR experience.

The iMac 2016 is also rumored to be fitted out with the Intel Kaby Lake processors, the successor the Skylake, which was the chipsets Apple used on the current iMac.

The Kaby Lake should allow of the iMac 2016 to deliver a much faster performance and heavy-duty tasks. With it, smooth 4K video playback should be possible as well as enhanced 3D graphics.

However, if Apple is really keen on bringing the powerful processor to the iMac 2016, it might have to delay the release of the highly-anticipated device.

It is said that the iMac 2016 will be released alongside the iPhone 7 this September. However, the .Kaby Lake won't be available until the end of the year.

This means that the iMac 2016 might not be here on the expected date. If that will be the case, then iMac fans will likely have to wait until early 2017 to see the latest of Apple's popular desktop computer series.
