Reportedly, the new Huawei P9 will launch early next month. While Huawei has yet to come out with details on its new flagship prior to its release, supposed specs and features of the new P9 are already floating online.

One of the speculations – which Huawei may have already hinted at – is that the upcoming flagship will not be a single iteration but an entire lineup. Much like what the tech manufacturer did with its previous P8 flagship, the upcoming Huawei P9 will reportedly launch with at least four variants. Aside from the base model, it is said that there will be a P9 Lite, a P9 Max, and an unnamed premium version with top-tier specs.

For the base model, speculations suggest that the Huawei P9 will come out with the latest Kirin 950 chipset, the same SoC that is featured in another Huawei flagship, the Mate 8. The processor is then paired with 3 GB of RAM. It is also rumored that one of the best features of the Huawei P9 lineup will be its massive battery capacity, reportedly rated at 3,900 mAh.

I is also said that the Huawei P9 will feature one of the best camera setups among 2016 flagships. According to speculations, Huawei will be integrating a double-lens camera assembly, complete with two-tone dual-LED flash and laser autofocus. Allegedly, the camera setup will be from Leica, a known manufacturer of top-grade cameras in the market.

As for the other iterations, the tags give a hint at how they will be presented in the release. The P9 Lite will be the mid-range version of the lineup, featuring an above-average Snapdragon 650 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the P9 Max will serve as the "Plus" variant of the base model, with a 6.2-inch Quad HD display.
