Huawei has already confirmed that its next flagship will come out early next month. Getting close to its debut, more details are coming out about the Mate 9.

A new teaser has surfaced online, ostensibly hinting that one major feature for the upcoming flagship is its camera. According to PlayfulDroid, this is already expected, since supposed leaks on the specs and features of the Mate 9 include a dual-cam setup, with the optics co-engineered by imaging giant Leica.

This is not the first time that Huawei has used the feature since the dual-cam setup is also present in the current flagship, the Huawei P9. However, supposed leaks point out that the dual cam setup in the Mate 9 has been vastly improved. Allegedly, the new Leica dual-cam carries 20 and 12 MP optics. This is a high improvement over the 12-MP one in the P9. In addition, it is also said that the new dual cam assembly for the Mate 9 will allow it up to 4x optical zoom, a powerful feature for non-DSLR optics.

Meanwhile, the leaks also showcased that the Mate 9 will have an improved vertical arrangement, rather than the side-by-side setup featured in the Huawei P9. Instead of being placed in the upper corner, the Mate 9 features is the main camera on the top center of the back panel. Underneath the setup is the flagship's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Aside from the dual cam setup, though, the upcoming Mate 9 is also said to carry improved specs and features overall. It will carry the newest Kirin 960 chipset and a 5.9-inch display. The base version will come out with 4 GB of RAM. The full lineup of the flagship includes the top-tier Mate 9 Pro, said to feature a QHD screen, 6 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of onboard storage.

With top-tier, next-gen specs and features, speculations suggest that the Mate 9 will fetch a price tag of up to $1,300. The new flagship lineup debuts on Nov. 3.
