It is expected that HTC's next flagship, dubbed as the HTC 11, will come out with next-gen specs and features, and it is said that it will launch middle of 2017.

Previously, a supposed inadvertent design for the follow-up to the HTC 10 made it online. Dubbed as the HTC Ocean, the supposed leak listed at least three iterations under the lineup. However, it is said that the design is only a concept at this point, although HTC has not directly denied that the supposed lineup is in the works.

Speculations suggest that HTC is bringing the supposed design of the HTC Ocean to its next flagship. Expected to be dubbed as HTC 11, the follow-up lineup is said to come out with a buttonless design, as well as a number of improvements. One expected improvement for the HTC 11 is in the camera department.

When the current flagship was launched, HTC highlighted the 12-MP UltraPixel camera setup on the HTC 10. In addition, it is said that the next follow-up will be bigger than the current lineup, and it may even feature a 5.5-inch display — a standard among recent releases. Meanwhile, the screen itself will also likely feature a dual-edge display and incorporate Quad HD resolution.

As for its design and form factor, since it will offer a unibody, "buttonless" chassis, it is expected that the HTC 11 will have an all-metal build, and will have proofing features of an IP6X rating at the very least. HTC may also carry over one feature from the upcoming HTC Bolt. It might ditch the standard 3.5mm audio jack in favor of the USB Type-C.

Under the hood, it is possible that as a flagship, the HTC 11 will come out with a next-gen Snapdragon 830 chipset and at least 6 GB of RAM. HTC may also offer the next flagship as a full lineup, with a base model having 4 GB of RAM, with the 6-GB one being a top-tier variant.
