HTC has just unveiled its newest flagship, the HTC 10. However, there are still no specific release dates for its global release, aside from an expected roll-out next month. Meanwhile, it seems that some regions will get the new flagship by early May, as reports suggest pre-orders will open by the fourth week of April.

According to Droid Life, Verizon is the first to announce that the HTC 10 will be available through their network, and that the carrier will also be one of the earliest to offer the flagship once it comes out. As a promise, pre-orders for the Verizon-locked HTC 10 will go live as erly as April 29.

The US carrier said in a statement, "Verizon will start preorders for the HTC 10 on April 29. In addition, Verizon Wireless stores will host exclusive in-store previews on April 29 to give consumers and media a hands-on look at the HTC 10. Verizon will be the first wireless carrier to offer the HTC 10."

As for the "exclusive in-store previews," GSM Arena says that it will give customers a sneak peek on the latest HTC flagship. However, the hands-on preview will be somewhat limited, as it will only showcase the base model of the HTC 10. The higher-storage 64-GB version of the flagship will not be available in the country, as well as the high-res headphones that come bundled with the flagship in some versions. In addition, it is also revealed that the Verizon variant of the device will be the muted colors version, since the Camillia Red color option is only available "currently" as an exclusive in Japan. There is no word yet on whether these "exclusives" will change anytime soon.

To date, only Verizon has revealed that it will have pre-orders set up for the HTC 10, and fans of other carriers expect major networks like Sprint and T-Mobile to follow suit. Meanwhile, AT&T has already confirmed that it will not add the HTC 10 to its list of mobile flagship offerings.
