The HTC 10 launch is fast approaching. But it seems that the tech manufacturer is not stopping with a single iteration as speculations suggest that HTC will be coming out with another flagship addition – the HTC 10 Mini – by the end of the year.

According to GSM Arena, an internal document reportedly highlights a 4.7-inch HTC 10, to launch sometime in September. In addition, while some "Mini" versions of flagship lineups tend to be lesser iterations, the HTC Mini will be a top-tier flagship, running on a more powerful Snapdragon 823 processor. The industry follower said that the Snapdragon 823 chipset uses the same architecture as the Snapdragon 820 SoC that reportedly powers the HTC 10 base model, but the newer 823 chipset runs at a higher clock speed. This may mean an increase in speed and performance.

Meanwhile, aside from the rumored chipset, nothing else is clear about the HTC 10 Mini at this point. If the base model HTC 10 is to be an indication, however, fans may expect the HTC 10 Mini to also feature at least 4GB of RAM. The 4.7-inch screen may also be the same as on the HTC 10 – Quad HD resolution – or downgraded to full HD since the Mini will have a smaller screen profile.

As for the HTC 10, it seems that the April 12 launch is already set. Aside from HTC already sending out the invites for the event, the HTC 10 has reportedly already made the rounds on different benchmark websites. In addition, the upcoming flagship has already gotten FCC certification. The certification is interesting, as observers note that the U.S. monitoring body gave FCC certification to two HTC 10 models. This leads to rumors that instead of a single flagship, the HTC 10 may be a lineup, with a base model and a premium, maybe a "Plus" version, at launch.
