Speculations suggest that since "Halo Wars 2" will be released later this year, the real-time strategy game will figure prominently and have a playable demo at the upcoming E3 2016.

According to a post on the official "Halo" forums, a hint has been included in an announcement of a previous event for "Halo 5: Guardians." The announcement revealed that "The 'Halo Wars 2' team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable." Meanwhile, it is expected that a major announcement will be made at the E3 showcase, as the post also left a teaser: "There's also – well, I can't talk about more just yet."

Meanwhile, since it has been sometime since 343 Industries and Microsoft announced "Halo Wars 2," fans are expecting more details on the game to be included at the E3 presentation. There seems to be some artwork images to be highlighted, as Day Herald reports that eaks seem to indicate that the game will be based on events before "Halo 3," serving as a prequel to the main story. The industry follower said that some supposed artwork images depict The Covenant Mission towers in the main game. This may be a hint on what "Halo Wars 2" will be all about.

"Halo Wars 2" is a sequel to the original 2009 strategy game, where instead of a full first-person shooter action in the "Halo" franchise, players will instead need to manage a team of special soldiers while aboard a warship.

"Halo Wars 2" will be released later this year for the PC and the Xbox One. However, fans who are still using Windows 7 and 8.1 will need to upgrade since the game is exclusive to Windows 10.
