'GTA V' DLC update news: 'GTA Online' update out early next week; 'GTA V' getting Liberty City DLC?

GTA Online - Further Adventures in Finance and Felony Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has already confirmed that a new major update for "GTA Online" is on the way. Speculations suggest that another surprise is waiting for fans, as the single-player campaign for "GTA V" is rumored to get a new expansion, too.

According to TechTimes, eagle-eyed fans of the franchise stumbled upon an image supposedly from Rockstar Games artist Adrian Page. Reportedly, one of the images in the online portfolio is a familiar image to fans – that of Middle Park. However, the scenic location from "GTA IV" has been re-rendered, this time using the RAGE engine from "GTA V."

This led to speculations that Rockstar Games may have a treat for "GTA V" players and may release a new DLC pack for the single-player campaign. This time, though, the "GTA V" crew will get out of Los Santos and will go to Liberty City, one of the previous locations of "Grand Theft Auto" games. The rumors themselves are not new since a "Liberty City" DLC for "GTA V" has been listed by fans and observers as far back as 2012.

Meanwhile, although Rockstar Games has yet to confirm these, the studio continues to update the online multiplayer feature of "GTA V." The studio has already confirmed that a major update is due to drop soon. A new trailer has also been put up, discussing the upcoming "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" DLC. To prepare for the new update, Rockstar Games put up a Criminal Expansion Weekend event from June 3 to 6, where in-game items like vehicles, weapons, gears, and properties added via the previous "Executives and Other Criminals" DLC have discounted prices. There are also in-game missions where players get double the cash rewards and reputation points.

"Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" is confirmed to go live on June 7.
