'GTA Online' news: huge DLC set to roll out late 2016?

Rockstar Games is said to feature at least one more major update for "GTA Online" before the year ends.

Just recently, the developer rolled out a new DLC for the online multiplayer feature of "Grand Theft Auto V." Dubbed as the "Bikers" DLC, the new expansion has added new items, in-game bonuses, and assets for players. The DLC came just weeks before Rockstar Games has again added items for its Halloween update.

However, the planned last DLC for "GTA Online" is reportedly part of a huge update, and will not just add new items for the game. Instead of a single, themed update like "Bikers," the upcoming DLC is a major one that it is likely to be rolled out in two parts.

The last massive DLC for "GTA Online" is the "Ill-Gotten Gains" DLC launched last year in two parts.

As a major update, it is said that the new DLC will likely come out just before the expected winter-themed event for "GTA Online" players, much like how the latest DLC released just before the "Halloween Specials" event.

Although it is not yet confirmed on what Rockstar Games may be planning for the last 2016 update for "GTA Online," it is said that the much-awaited casino-style expansion may finally be happening. However, some observers believe that it will likely be a "part three" for some previous themed updates for the game. Supposedly, the new update will involve the import-export business, following the preceding organization-themed DLCs for the game, "Executives and Other Criminals," and "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony."

As for the current expansion, the "Halloween Specials" event also came out with an anniversary celebration bonus. As part of "GTA V" third year anniversary, players who logged in on "GTA Online" until Oct. 31 received $250,000 worth of game currency, which will be deposited to players' game accounts on Nov. 4.
