'GTA Online' DLC news: gamers to get major update soon; fans want 'Biker' DLC

Rockstar Games continues to update the online multiplayer feature of its "Grand Theft Auto" franchise with a number of weeklong events. Reportedly, there will be another major update coming out soon, and should the developer listen to fan demands, it may be the much-awaited "Biker" DLC expansion.

According to Express, Rockstar Games has already confirmed that major updates, particularly DLC expansions, will come out for "GTA Online" this year. Meanwhile, much of the planned expansions will be based on fan feedback, as Rockstar Games claims. This led to speculations that the "GTA Online" game may finally have some much-awaited in-game missions, events, and plays from gamers.

NeuroGadget points out that one of the much-talked-about expansions for "GTA Online" is a "Biker"-themed DLC. While the developer has yet to come out with details, a "Biker" DLC is plausible, since the DLC expansion in "GTA Online" is known to center on some niche, particularly vehicles. One of the already-released DLC packs for the game is the "Lowriders" expansion, where the theme is centered on classic lowered muscle cars which can then be customized by players. A "Biker" DLC with new bikes of all kinds as well as a number of new in-game item tie-ins are certainly doable.

The industry follower also noted that a "Biker" DLC will have its own set of players. Reportedly, a petition has already been started by a biker group for Rockstar Games to release the expansion soon.

Meanwhile, outside of the planned release of at least two major DLC packs before the year ends, Rockstar Games continues to roll out weeklong events for "GTA Online." The recent one, "Combat Week," offers discounts on weapons, heavy artillery and ammo for players. The event is scheduled to end on Thursday.
