The first episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 12 titled "Sledgehammer" is about to happen and everyone seems to be scrambling of any news or updates on what the upcoming season has for us.

As recently reported by Yibada, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) will be trying to move on after Derek Shepard (Patrick Dempsey) died in a car accident, leaving her with three young children. There were also rumors circulating that Pompeo will soon be leaving the show right after this season. Showrunner Shonda Rhimes has not yet made any comments on this but it was mentioned that Pompeo doesn't want her contract renewed. So yes, it is possible that Rhimes might kill Meredith Grey in one of the upcoming episodes.

However, another report also mentioned Meredith getting a new love interest and his name is Martin Henderson. He will be a new medic and is said to "fill Meredith's missing pieces" and help her manage both her personal and professional life. Aww... isn't that exciting? We surely can't wait to see what this Martin Henderson will look like, yes?

The past season of "Grey's Anatomy" featured Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) battling OCD and handling her patients' outbreak. But will we see a more confident Bailey this Season 12?

"I want to be chief. That's what I want. What do I have to do to make that happen? You're going to see some classic Bailey stuff, some classic Bailey behavior," Wilson told Zap2it. "[You'll see] some self-confidence that you haven't seen in a while from her coming out. This is a really important step for her, just as important as getting on the board. I think being the chief is kind of the pinnacle of her career."

On the other hand, are we ever going to witness Jo and Alex getting engaged this season as they moved out of Meredith's old house? Let's wait and see.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 will premier this Sept. 24.
