Google to release Android 5.0, Android Silver and Android Wear on June 25?

The absence of Google's confirmation sparked different rumors on what the company could be releasing in its annual I/O Developers' Conference. New reports claimed that Google will release new Android Wear, Android Silver as well as the next generation of Android 5.0.

Ecumenical News cited a Google Blog claiming that the Android Wear is a type of technology that will allow watches to provide straight answers to spoken questions and be able to monitor health and fitness routines of users. Based on the description, it seemed that it will be a smartwatch, which is the same as Samsung's wearable. Google said earlier this year that it has plans to make more Android wearable devices apart from Google Glass and rumors emerged that the company was working on a smartwatch.

Meanwhile, the Android Silver program is rumored to replace the current Nexus line and will include modifications to the custom Google launcher, limit third party apps that could be pre-installed, and facilitate integration between Google Chrome and Google Search. It was initially reported that the Android Silver line will be launched in February.

Lastly, the search engine giant is also speculated to unveil the next generation of Android OS or the successor of Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The new mobile software is dubbed as "Moonshine", although the nickname of the operating system is still unknown. It was predicted that the Android 5.0 will come with a name from a dessert starting with letter "L" based on tradition. There were speculations that the name would be "Lollipop," but the company has not confirmed anything yet.

There were also rumors that Google will unwrap the alleged Nexus 8 tablet as the main star of the event. The device is said to replace the current 7-inch tablet of the company.

The I/O Developers' Conference will kick off on June 25. Google has not confirmed anything about the details of the upcoming tech event.
