In the next episode of "Ghosted," Max Jennifer (Adam Scott) and Leroy Wright (Craig Robinson) investigate a mysterious creature in the woods.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Snatcher," were released just recently, and they show Jennifer and Wright strolling through the forest looking for clues regarding a killer creature. They happen to bring Annie (Amber Stevens West) along because she has some knowledge about the mysterious creature.

All of a sudden, they find themselves lost in the woods. It is very late at night, and, unfortunately, they don't know how to get back to civilization. Jennifer is then forced to use survival skills to find a way out of the meandering forest. Luckily, they happen to find an abandoned house where they stay for the night. They check the place to make sure that it is safe from anything especially the killer creature.

However, it appears that they are being threatened by something outside, so they search for weapons within the house. They are able to gather a bunch of things which they can use to protect themselves. It remains to be seen if the group will be able to fend off the mysterious creature.

Meanwhile, back at the Bureau Underground, Barry Shaw (Adeel Akhtar) tries to prove his worth to Captain Ava Lafrey (Ally Walker) by solving her dating struggles.

In the last episode, Jennifer and Wright investigated a killer ghost at a haunted hayride. They were able to spot the entity, which was about to kill them with an axe. However, Jennifer saw the ghost's bones and quickly buried them in the grave. Once buried, the entity suddenly disappeared, and they were able to get out of dodge.

"Ghosted" season 1 episode 9 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
