"Game of Thrones" is now gearing up for its eighth and final season, but HBO is not going to stop there. It has been announced the network is planning to produce four spinoff series about the world George R.R. Martin created in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel. With that, one original "GoT" character wants to be involved in these prequels.
Charles Dance, who played the role of Tywin Lannister, revealed his interest to reprise his character in the upcoming spinoff series. However, the network earlier cleared that no one from the original show will be part of the upcoming prequels.
According to CinemaBlend, Dance described "Game of Thrones" as a "fantastic series" and it is really "as good as it gets." He even recalled the time he was filming for the show, where he stayed for a number of days in the cold, dealing with misbehaving horses and having armors at the back of his neck. So, when asked if he wanted to be part of the spinoff series, he quickly said yes and called it a top caliber show.
Meanwhile, fans now have a chance to watch the entire 67 episodes of "Game of Thrones'" seven seasons at Prince Charles Cinema, iNews reported. The mentioned theater in London, England is going to hold a marathon screening of the HBO original series on Monday, Nov. 27, until Thursday, Nov. 30. The good news is the viewing is all for free.
The said marathon is going to be held to celebrate the release of the DVD copy of the show's seventh season. Unfortunately, the theater is already fully booked, but it promised to give more tickets soon, so more fans could watch it.
"Game of Thrones" season 8 is expected to be released in 2019 on HBO. The network might work out the show's spinoff series in the conclusion of the epic fantasy's final chapter.
