Fans were surprised to see a different Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) in the previous season of "Game of Thrones." And now that Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) is gone, viewers are more excited to see the fiercer and wiser Sansa in "Game of Thrones" season 8.

In an interview with Variety, the 21-year-old star talked about her character's future now that no master manipulator will whisper things in her ear. Also, she teased the HBO series' possible release date and the show's production.

"The student becomes the master now," Joe Jonas' fiance said about Sansa's transformation. Now that Littlefinger is gone, Turner revealed that it will be tricky for her role to lead as she believes that everything in her life will be in order in "Game of Thrones" season 8.

Sansa's family is once again complete, and they now regain control of Winterfell. However, in the new season, they will be facing a new threat that will put her back in deep trouble. As no one will be there to guide her, it will be a big test for her to make it through.

"It's a big challenge for her, without this master manipulator having her back," Turner said. In "Game of Thrones" season 8, fans will see Sansa in a more passionate and manipulative kind of fight. However, she did not exactly reveal if she, too, will be facing the White Walkers.

Talking about the new season's production, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star revealed that they started filming in October. "So we're maybe like a tenth of the way through," she said. Although she later corrected it, saying they still have six or seven months left before the production ends.

As "Game of Thrones" season 8 is expected to be out in 2019, Iain Glen, who plays the role of Ser Jorah Mormont, explained the reason behind the delay. As most of the stars will be in the same storyline, they will be now filming with one unit only. Fans are about to see all the characters in one scene, so it will take longer for them to shoot eight episodes together.
