'Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location' release date news: Game to launch this fall or earlier

"Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location" Scott Games

The upcoming title "Sister Location," thought to be a part of "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise, is expected to arrive this fall. However, it may come out sooner than its intended release date.

Previously, developer Scott Cawthon announced release dates for his four games in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise but surprised fans by releasing the titles much earlier than their scheduled roll outs. Because of this, fans expect that "Sister Location" will roll out much earlier than its expected fall release.

However, it remains to be seen if Cawthon will roll out "Sister Location" as soon as he is finished, since his last outing has not been a very successful at first try. His RPG spin-off "Five Night's at Freddy's World" released to much fanfare but was taken down from Steam abruptly. The game was described by some as seemingly incomplete, and Cawthon agreed that he may have rushed the title. The developer then released a second version of "FNaF World" with a more polished update. The new version of "Five Nights at Freddy's World" was released for free.

As for "Sister Location," since it is part of the major storyline of the "FNaF" franchise, Cawthon will have plenty of material to build on, so his work may already be progressing smoothly. The developer has already confirmed that "Sister Location" is a canon title. Although not a direct sequel to "The Final Chapter, the upcoming game still evolves around the main storyline and plot of the "FNaF" franchise, so fans can expect some familiar characters and settings making their way into the title.
