The "Five Nights at Freddy's" (FNAF) game series is one that many people have loved not only for its jumpscares but even more so for the lore behind it all. With its presumably the last game being released just a few months ago, the "FNAF" movie is finally happening. A director has finally been found for the movie.

The reveal was quite interesting as it was first seen via the official Twitter account of movie productions Blumhouse. "Mr. Columbus, are you ready for Freddy? #FiveNightsatFreddys," the tweet reads with a picture of two chairs with "Chris Columbus" and and "Freddy Fazbear" written on each chair.

Chris Columbus is no foreigner to popular movies. He has quite an impressive resume having directed hit movies such as "Home Alone," "Mrs. Doubtfire," two of the "Harry Potter" movies, "The Help," and many others.

Previous reports about the "FNAF" movie may be entirely different as it was originally reported that the movie would be produced by Warner Bros. hence the different set of people. Gil Kenan, Tyler Burton Smith, and Roy Lee have all been previously reported to be behind the movie.

This time around, Blumhouse is sure to be the producer alongside the game's creator himself Scott Cawthon. Blumhouse Productions have their own impressive resume. They have been known to make low-budget horror films such as "the Purge," "Get Out," and "Split." With both Columbus and Blumhouse on board, it would be easy to have high expectations for the movie.

With finalisations only being made recently, there is not much news to be heard about the movie. If things go out smoothly, fans should be hearing more details about it soon.
