Time and time again, fresh news about "Final Fantasy XV" comes out, keeping every fan updated with what's happening. Right now, there is still no definite release date for the game. However, there is a date for the PS4 demo.
IGN reported that the "Final Fantasy XV" demo will take place in early 2015. The PS4 demo will be released together with "Final Fantasy Type-0." The game is still just halfway done, but the demo promises to give four hours of gameplay.
At the Tokyo Game Show 2014, new director of the game Hajime Tabata disclosed that the demo is already 80 percent complete, while the game is at 55 percent. The VC Post said that the four hours will be composed of an hour for the story campaign, and the remaining hours will be for the dungeons, world maps, and obstacles.
Square Enix has already released footages for the combat system of "Final Fantasy XV." While this excited most everyone, there are some who noted the absence of female playable characters. Some even went as far as saying that gender bias is a reason why there are only male characters.
IGN quotes Tabata as saying, "The party members being all men was something that [former director] Tetsuya Nomura had kept as a very important element of this journey. He wanted to depict a story in which a group of men, a group of friends, journey throughout the world. So that's something that I kept in Final Fantasy XV."
The past "Final Fantasy" games had female playable characters, which is why their absence in the upcoming version is something that's being scrutinized by players. But to appease everyone, there's a promise that Tabata made — "prominent women" will make an appearance in the game. You may not play them, but they'd still be around, so it's not bad at all!
