'Final Fantasy XV' release date, gameplay, features: Playable demo to appear at E3 2016

Final Fantasy XV Square-Enix

New details have emerged on one of the much-awaited game releases for the year, "Final Fantasy XV." Meanwhile, close to the new title's release date, fans will have their first glimpse of the game as it is confirmed that "Final Fantasy XV" will have a playable demo at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The annual E3 conference is scheduled in June this year.

According to Dual Shockers, a recent interview with game director Hajime Tabata has the director disclosing some few choice details about the upcoming game. Reportedly, "Final Fantasy XV" is set to appear in the 2016 E3 conference, and with it comes a playable demo for hardcore fans and event participants to check out.

However, it seems that the demo version will be the "Platinum Demo" that is already showcased previously, and will not be a refreshed 'Episode Duscae 3.0." First-time players of the "Platinum Demo" version may find it lacking, as Tabata revealed that the demo version was made not with critical fans in mind, but just to showcase the game's on-going development. The game director said that the current demo version did not have the full resolution and maximum frame rates incorporated, and only features dynamic resolutions that changes depending on which platform the players use. In any case, the differences between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 frame rates are minimal, and both top out at 1080p.

Tabata added that as to date, there are no plans to update the "Platinum Demo" version of "Final Fantasy XV," so there is no confirmation yet on whether this will be the title to demo at the 2016 E3. Interestingly, the development team also made the same statement previously with the first demo version of the game, before surprising fans and coming out with "Episode Duscae 2.0."

"Final Fantasy XV" is due for global release on September 30.
