'Final Fantasy 15' to launch in March 2015? No more PC version?

"Final Fantasy" fans have been waiting for any news about the launch of the new game "Final Fantasy XV." When E3 took place, the gaming world anticipated what Square Enix will show. But to the dismay of everyone, there wasn't any trailer, only news that the game is in development.

Fans of the game fear and worry about what's happening with the game, even the execs are very secretive about any updates... until this week.

Kdramastars reported that Yosuka Matsuda, the CEO of Square Enix, talked about using Direct X 11 tools for the game, which might have caused the delay. "We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer," Matsuda said.

Elsewhere, a news broke out that "Final Fantasy XV" will no longer be released in PC platform. Daniel Sims of Attack of the Fanboy answered a question via Twitter regarding the PC version of the game. "@ForgetAmnesia Square Enix has started the same trend. FFXV and KHIII are all being developed "on DirectX 11," but no PC versions so far." However, Square Enix hasn't confirmed nor denied this claim.

Back in June, game producer Shinji Hashimoto released a statement to Famitsu.com about "FFXV." It was in Japanese but SQEX.Info have translated it. Hashimoto said, "First, I'd like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year's E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV."

He continued, "Instead, we are currently planning to exhibit new information at events after E3 2014. I am extremely grateful to all the fans who excitedly anticipate FFXV, and I'm looking forward to share new information when the timing is right. I would appreciate if fans hold out until then."

As for the probable release date, Gear Nuke gives a bit of information about this. David Gibson, Senior Research Analyst for Square Enix said that they are expecting lower game sales this year. If you can get the hint, this might just mean that "Final Fantasy XV" won't be released before the fiscal year ends, which is March 2015.
