Far Cry 4 trailer: Elephants abound in new video game

Travel throughout the Himalayas on top of elephants in the fourth installment of the action-packed first-person shooter  game series called "Far Cry."

The latest trailer for "Far Cry 4" shows humongous elephants that players can use to travel to different places in the virtual realm. But aside from being used as a mode of transportation, these elephants can be utilized for different advantages as well.

According to Lazy Gamer, "Far Cry 4's" Elephants of Kryat can also fight as players ride them into combat. This feature can help players have an amazing drive-by shooting advantage. Players can have a pretty awesome shooting experience once they have their shotgun completely loaded – they only need to get themselves mounted properly on their chosen elephant, and then shoot their way through a battle.

Although elephants are normally seen as gentle gigantic creatures, the Elephants of Kryat are anything but gentle. PlayStation Lifestyle describes the character as "a big, lumbering elephant (that) can be seen taking out multiple bad guys, flipping over cars, and creating large explosions. It's both majestic and absolutely terrifying."

"Far Cry 4" is the follow-up of the 2012 game "Far Cry 3." It deals with the adventures of Ajay Ghale, a Nepalese native who went back to his roots – in the wild and untamed part of Nepal called Kyrat – to lay his late mother's ashes to rest. But he gets entangled in a civil war as his fellow Nepalese people suffer under the tyrannical regime of King Pagan Min, dubbed as Ubisoft's most ruthless villain.

Ubisoft's "Far Cry 4" will be available on multi-platform editions, including PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC formats.  It is scheduled to be released on Nov. 18 in the US and the rest of the world, while it will be released in Australia on Nov. 20.
