Chapter 534 of "Fairy Tail" left readers on a cliffhanger regarding the attempt to bring back Natsu. Chapter 535, titled "The Strongest Power," will show that the attempt was successful, but at a devastating cost.

In chapter 534, Natsu was brought back to life, thanks largely to the efforts of Lucy, whose photographic memory enabled her to recall the words that went missing on the Book of E.N.D. However, Inquisitr revealed that attempting to resurrect the former will have a negative effect on the latter, with her ending up in a trancelike state. Happy and Gray will notice her condition and will be worried about Lucy.

Nonetheless, Natsu's resurrection will mean another face-off between brothers for chapter 535, as he will be confronting Zeref, who was also the one who killed him two chapters previously.  His timing also means he will be able to try to keep the latter from casting the powerful Neo Eclipse spell.

Meanwhile, Anna noticed that someone had shut the Ravines of Time deliberately, as she was unable to open it even with her Celestial Magic. Her assumption will prove to be correct, as this was shut by Zeref. This means that the Pegasus team may not be able to use it to trap the Black Dragon. With Zeref distracted by the resurrection of his brother, it is possible that Anna may finally be able to open the gate to help the team. However, simply opening the gate will not do the trick, as the opening can be seen by the naked eye. As such, the team will need to use their wits in order to trap the dragon.

Jellal will come up with a way of facing the Black Dragon. He believes he can distract it, despite Anna's warning that he may get trapped within the Ravines of Time. Nonetheless, it seems that Jellal is ready to sacrifice himself in order to prevent the Black Dragon from taking over. Chapter 535 will reveal if he will be able to successfully carry out his plan.
