Eminem new album 2016 release date news: any sneak peeks in the rapper's 'Shady Wars' app?

There is no official news about the date the new album is set to release. However, if news reports are to be believed, rap artist Eminem has opted for a quirky and new-age technique to slip his new tracks into fans' music albums. A game app titled Shady Wars was released last November, and the gameplay has lyrics to Eminem's songs raining down. Players are required to collect coins by catching the lyrics that pour down, while simultaneously avoiding interrupting drones.

The game comprises three levels – Rap Pro, Rap Star, and Rap God. A couple of weeks back, the rapper took to Instagram and Twitter to announce an upgrade to the app. The new version of the app will now feature a bunch of new tracks from the artist. Among the new numbers is "Berzerk," a piece that will be a part of the upcoming movie "Why Him?"

Chatt Sports Net speculates that the inclusion of new songs in the app must mean that an official confirmation of the star's new album might not be far behind. Eminem's last album was "The Marshal Mathers LP 2," which hit the shelves way back in 2013. Needless to say, this extended hiatus has sparked off several theories of reasons behind the delay. MNR Daily reports that some fans believe the new album has been cancelled because of the financial troubles that the songwriter is in.

Conflicting reports attribute the delay in releasing new album to the fact that the singer has been busy with other pet projects. According to Ecumenical News, Eminem will be offering his limited edition sneakers for sale. The line of products from his personal collection is christened StockX, and the performer was reported to have stated, "Sneakers have always been a huge interest of mine, for at least as long as I've been rapping, and I'm proud of the fact that I've had so many collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand."
