'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' release date, characters, fighters: Who will Super Saiyan Son Goku face in new game?

'Dragon Ball Xenoverse', also known as 'Dragon Ball XV', to be released in 2015

There's a slight confusion about the release date of "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse" which might just cause pandemonium among "Dragon Ball" fans. One thing is for sure though — the game will be released in 2015.

Capsule Computer reported that "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse" will be released in Japan on Feb. 5, 2015. However, it won't be the same release date for the rest of the world. This means that other countries may be able to start enjoying the game only during the holiday season of 2015.

GameStop started taking pre-orders for the game and noted that it will be released on Dec. 31, 2015. While "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse" can be a very awesome Christmas gift, fans of the game would surely want to get their hands on it earlier if they can.

Now that the release date is clear, what can be expected of the game? In "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse," Super Saiyan Son Goku will again face notorious and very dangerous enemies, namely Vegeta, Cell, Frieza and many more. The story revolves around the player teaming up with Kai of Time and Trunks in an effort to prevent the complete ruin of the history of Dragon Ball, which Mira and Towa are planning to do.

Son Goku will also be more powerful this time around. He will be a Super Saiyan Level 4 and his Kame Hame will be 10 times stronger. Super Saiyan God Goku can fight enemies at Level 4 forms, too, like Gogeta, Vegeta or Omega Shenron.

In a Youtube video, a preview trailer showed an unknown fighter wearing a cape and blue shirt. No one has a clue who this fighter is, but there's "Capsule Corporation" written on his shoulders.

"Dragon Ball: Xenoverse" will come out in PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. For those playing on PC, they can avail of the game through Steam.
