With the events unfolding in the anime continuation of the "Dragon Ball Z" saga, some fans are saying that the new stories and characters will be a hit if they are included in the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game.
According to Forbes, the two adaptations may have connected narrative, so players may see some of the characters in the new "Dragon Ball Super" anime make it to the game sequel. This will be interesting for fans since the current "Dragon Ball Super" anime storyline is onto a new path in the "Dragon Ball" franchise. The story is now focused on the Z warriors continuing the fight right after the Buu saga, and has added new characters in the mix like Beerus the God of Destruction, Whis from Universe 1, and even an evil version of Goku called Goku Black.
The industry follower added that the latest gameplay footage for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" already gives hints on the connected narrative. In the trailer, both evil Janemba and evil Broly have insignias on their heads, and the mark is eerily similar to the Ring of Time that Goku Black wears in "Dragon Ball Super."
Meanwhile, although Bandai Namco has yet to peg the details on the story, the publisher did confirm that there will be a special edition of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" when it launches later this year. Dubbed the "Golden Bundle" pack, the special edition of the game will have additional bonuses like an exclusive, glow-in-the-dark version of Super Saiyan Son Guku Funko 3 figurine. The "Golden Bundle" pack will cost around $64.99 and will also be launched on Oct. 25, same as the game's release date. There is also a Deluxe Edition of the game that comes with a Season Pass for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."
