Microsoft is making a sweet deal for game enthusiasts this coming week. From Sept. 7 until Sept. 13, a purchase of an Xbox One entitles buyers to one free game of their choice – and this includes Bungie's Destiny which is scheduled for release on Sept. 9.

The announcement says, "Offer valid September 7-September 13, 2014 at participating retailers with purchase of Xbox One, Xbox One with Kinect, Xbox One Madden NFL 15 bundle, or Xbox One Forza Motorsport 5 bundle."

The offer is valid in participating outlets in the US only. There are other conditions as well. For instance, one can select only one new game (refurbished games and consoles not included) with a maximum retail value of $59.99, and it should be a disc-based game for Xbox One. Also, it's not valid for pre-order games or those that are set to be released after the promo, and the deal cannot be used in combination with other offers.

There are many titles to choose from, such as The Lego Movie video game, Titanfall, Tomb Raider, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, and more. But since the much-awaited Destiny game from Bungiee is slated to roll out on Sept. 9, then it will be among the games to be offered for free. Aside from getting a new game console, buyers can be among the first to play the "shared-world shooter" game and venture into a post-apocalyptic future where they must fight hostile alien civilizations that have taken over the world.

Those who want to buy the Xbox One already bundled with a game can also get another game of their choice.

"The offer is valid for any retail Xbox One game, and the offer is good for our Xbox One system bundles, too," the blog post says. "So if you want to pick up the Xbox One Madden NFL 15 Bundle or Forza Motorsport 5 Bundle, you're getting another free game of your choice priced at $59.99 or lower on top of it!"

Destiny is a multi-platform game and it will also be available in PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, and Xbox 360, but Microsoft's decision to offer it for free with Xbox One makes the deal quite a tempting option.
