'Deadpool 2' release date: sequel rumored to feature Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively

The first movie in the Deadpool franchise was a smash hit, we all know that. Ryan Reynolds delivered a fantastic performance, and fans have nothing but the best things to say about it. The movie adaptation was surprisingly loyal to the comics, with Morena Baccarin playing the protagonist's love interest in the first movie. Now, months later, that seems to have had some interesting consequences.

According to an anecdote on Movie News Guide, Ryan's wife Blake Lively narrated the long-drawn consequences that this movie seems to have had on her personal life. During her appearance on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," she recalled that "Deadpool" had been screened on a plane she had been on. The actress reportedly stated that having to go through the scenes where Reynolds gets intimate with Baccarin, with so many fellow passengers watching, had seemed like a special form of torture.

What further added to the embarrassment of the experience was that her two-year old daughter James had been with her, pointing to the shots from the movie and waving to her father. All this was said in good humour, and Lively even had a laugh or two about it. Nevertheless, the show has sparked off rumours about a replacement of Deadpool's love interest in the upcoming sequel.

As Vine Report suggests, rumours point to Lively featuring as Deadpool's love in the second movie of the franchise. If this does turn out to be true, then the new movie will showcase the chemistry of the real-life couple in a never-before-seen manner. As it is, the comics are known for their saucy scenes. If the forthcoming movie continues to remain true to the comics, fans of the couple have some treats in store.

Reports surrounding the possible release date mostly hint at a Thanksgiving 2017 release in the USA. A few rare ones point to a 2018 release.
