The Oct. 27 episode of "Dancing with the Stars" season 19 gave viewers a real treat as the pairs donned their Halloween costumes and showed off their take on a ghostly performance on the dance floor. And to take the entertainment factor a notch higher, the contestants were divided into two teams, each group giving an impressive choreographed free-style performance to try to outdo the other.

But the costumes and routines were far from scary when compared to getting lined up for the axe. Alfonso Ribeiro and Sadie Robertson ended up safe, but fans waited with bated breath to know whether it would be Antonio Sabato Jr. or Tommy Chong who would be booted out. The final verdict: Antonio had to say goodbye, while Tommy would still be coming back to compete.

Incidentally, this makes Tommy the oldest contestant thus far in "Dancing with the Stars." The actor, comedian, writer, director and musician is 76 years old. The multi-talented Grammy awardee can certainly add his DWTS feat and experience to his other achievements.

Here's a summary:

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough received a near-perfect score of 39 for the paso doble routine, which they performed to Woodkid's "Run Boy Run" while dressed in eerie demonic costumes.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson got 36 for performing rumba to Ellen Henderson's "Ghost," while the Lea Thompson-Artem Chigvintsev pair received 34 for dancing Argentine tango to "Necessary Evil" by Niki Yanofsky.

The "Pretty Little Liars"-themed Viennese waltz of Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy earned them 31 points, while the judges awarded Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas 30 points for their zombie-inspired paso doble routine.

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd earned 28 points; Antonio Sabato, Jr. and Cheryl Burke got 27; and Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater earned 20.

Week 8 is "Dynamic Duo" week wherein the seven remaining pairs will pay tribute to famous partners (think Batman and Robin, Adam and Eve, Bonnie and Clyde, and the like).

"Dancing with the Stars" season 19 airs every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
