'Dancing with the Stars' season 19 cast rumors: Kandi Burruss, Tim Howard to join? Maksim Chmerkovskiy wants to judge

"Dancing with the Stars" have come a long way and it seems like the show's not stepping on the brakes anytime soon. Season 19 of the ABC hit show will be returning in September, but the cast members still remain a mystery.

There's a number of cast rumors going around as to which celebrities will be joining the new season of "DWTS." According to Lalate News, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss might join the "DWTS" season 19.

Burruss isn't the only BravoTV star that is rumored to join the reality dancing TV show franchise. Kyle Richards of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney of "Real Housewives of Orange County" are also rumored to join the show.

This isn't the first appearance of BravoTV housewives on the show. In the previous seasons, Lisa Vanderpump and Nene Leakes have already shown off their skills on the dance floor too.

Moreover, there are two athletes rumored to join the season 19 cast, namely Tim Howard and Landon Donovan. Both are soccer players and if the rumor is true, both will be tested if they're as good in dancing as playing with the soccer ball.

What about the one-half of "Dancing with the Stars" Season 18 winners Maksim Chmerkovskiy? A source told Life & Style that Chmerkovskiy may return in season 19, but he won't be dancing with a celebrity. Rather, he will be a judge in the new season.

"Maks really, really wants to be a judge," says the source. "[He's] just waiting to see what Len decides before he makes his announcement." Len Goodman had previously stated that season 18 will be his last.

Meanwhile, producer of "DWTS" Rod Wade confirmed who will be surely coming back next season.

"We have Erin and Tom coming back and we're looking forward to it," says Wade to E! News. "We kind of knew before. We knew she had this other job and we made sure that would work out in the fall. So yeah, that's what we worked out. It's great and we're very supportive of her."

And what does Wade have to say about Chmerkovskiy return or non-return? "I'm absolutely hoping Maks comes back to the show. I don't know whether it's going to be as a dancer. I think there's a number of different things we can talk to him about and the way he'd be involved in the show. Maks will always be part of 'Dancing With the Stars' in some way."

Catch "Dancing with the Stars" Season 19 on September 15 on ABC.
