In the next episode of "Criminal Minds," the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) led by Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) investigates a mind-boggling murder. Former agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) makes an unexpected appearance.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Lucky Strikes" was recently released and showed a man lying dead on the ground which prompts the team including Prentiss, David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), and Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) to investigate. "He's using you," Rossi warns Prentiss as they discuss the case. Rossi feels that their suspect Floyd Feylinn Ferrell (Jamie Kennedy) may be manipulating Prentiss into thinking that he is innocent of the recent murder. Earlier, Ferrell got stopped by a police car in the middle of the road. Ferrell looked anxiously in his side mirror as the cop approached. It remains to be seen what happened after that encounter.

Meanwhile, former agent Morgan visits Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) at the headquarters to lend her some emotional support over the recent murder which she knows about apparently. "I wanted to take your place. It's okay, I got you," Morgan tells Garcia as he gives her a hug. Viewers have yet to see how Garcia is connected with the murder and if she is in any danger or not.

In the last episode, the team struggled with a murder case that involved a drone-flying killer. Apparently, he was involved in a failed mission in Afghanistan where he mistakenly gunned down innocent children at a school using his drone. He could not bear the guilt so he killed those involved in the mission but was eventually murdered by the government contractor.

Prentiss and the team discovered the conspiracy and arrested the contractor. His company was also shut down for manslaughter.

"Criminal Minds" season 13 episode 5 will air on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
