It was previously reported that MMA fighter Conor McGregor had to step down from UFC 200 due to a dispute with the promotion and marketing department. Despite this, McGregor is still looking for his next match, and retired boxer and still undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly doing everything possible for them to meet in the ring.

According to a report from MMA Fighting, Mayweather has even approached legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach, who is known for training Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather reportedly visited Roach to convince him to train McGregor and get the MMA fighter prepared for a match against a professional boxer.

"There are a lot of rumors out there that I'm getting calls from Conor, asking me to train him; they're not true," Roach explained. "He has not called me yet but Mayweather did come by my gym last week, and he asked me to take that job if it's offered to me. He told me the fight is gonna happen and we're gonna make a lot of money."

However, if the fight were to happen, Roach explained that it would take roughly three years to get McGregor properly prepared. According to Roach, despite McGregor being an experienced MMA fighter, the rules and style of boxing are significantly different. Pitting Mayweather against McGregor now would be an unfair fight, especially considering that Mayweather is one of the best boxers in the world.

Mayweather has been enthusiastic about the possibility of the fight despite neither party confirming that it will happen. As stated in a report from Sher Dog, Mayweather has even gone to post a mock-up poster of the match via his Instagram account.

Given that Freddie Roach has stated that it may take years before the fight ever becomes a reality, fans speculate that McGregor's next fight may still be against Nate Diaz. Diaz was set to be his match in UFC 200, and while that got canceled it is likely that it will be arranged for a separate event.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
