Developer Infinity Ward has revealed a few details on the weapons and vehicles of its upcoming game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." This was witnessed by fans during a recent Facebook Live event where it featured SATO (Solar Associated Treaty Organization) fleet's Retribution, the central hub for the commander and her crew.
Dan Savage and Sean Byer, vehicle and weapons leads at Infinity Ward, presented a few of the things that players can use in the game. They started off with the Jackal, a fighter aircraft which can be used for space battles and dog fights and is based on the F-22 and F-35 fighter planes, VGA 247 reported.
Another SATO vehicle that was featured was the Raven, which is a drop-ship and can be used for transporting personnel, equipment, and ground combat vehicles.
A few of SDF's (Settlement Defense Front) vehicles were also featured during the live streaming, but they are not as high-tech as their SATO counterpart. It seems that the shortcomings are compensated with its massive size, like the Olympus Mons, which completely overwhelms the Retribution.
Movie News Guide added that the weapons will have a classic and familiar COD look. The design team wants to achieve a real and futuristic sci-fi setting, aside from the largest arsenal of weaponry to date. Details on each weapons are second to none; the team took into consideration the weather effects and the chips in the metal.
Meanwhile, U.K. based retailer Argos made a mistake in reducing the pre-order price for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition" during the weekend. Instead of the £69.99 price tag, it came down to £39.99. It was initially reported that orders will be cancelled and refunded, but Argos support stated that the price will be honored for those who made the purchase, Video Gamer stated on its report.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition" includes "Infinite Warfare" and "Modern Warfare Remastered." This is the only way that players will get the chance to own the remastered version of the previous game.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is set to arrive on Nov. 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
