The newest downloadable content for the PlayStation 4 version of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" now has an official release date.

Treyarch and Activision dropped on Sunday the announcement regarding the release date of the game's first DLC map pack called "Awakening." The announcement came with an accompanying video. According to the announcement, the upcoming DLC will be released on PlayStation 4 on Feb. 2.

According to the video trailer, the maps in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Awakening DLC will include an area called Gauntlet. It is reportedly a map that is based around a military facility location that has several different environments. Then there is a map called Splash, which is based on a colorful area that used to be an old waterpark.

Another map that comes with the new DLC is called the Rise, which is a snow-capped abandoned construction facility. Lastly, the other map that is included in the upcoming downloadable content is called the Skyjacked, which is a reimagined version of the old Hijacked map from "Black Ops 2."

The upcoming expansion pack will also come with a brand new zombie map dubbed as Der Eisendrache, which will be included in a new zombie gameplay arc.

"Since Black Ops III launched last month, the response from our community has been incredible in every way," Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia said in a press release. "With Awakening, the studio is focused on creating a wide variety of gameplay experiences for our fans in Multiplayer and Zombies that will keep players coming back for more."

The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Awakening" DLC Map Pack can be purchased at a discounted rate through the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC Season Pass for $49.99. It is also available for individual purchase for $15.

The DLC will also be released on Xbox One and PC at a later date.
