Although Activision recently released a new DLC pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," fans are already looking forward to the third one. Speculations suggest that the follow-up to the "Eclipse" DLC is expected to arrive after the E3, happening next month.
According to The Bitbag, with the timeframe that DLC packs are being released for the latest "Call of Duty: Black Ops" installment, it is expected that another expansion pack will roll out next month. As with the previous two DLC packs, the next expansion will likely introduce at least three new maps and other in-game bonuses like feature tweaks and new items.
However, not all observers agree that Activision will be coming out with details of the next "Black Ops 3" content at the E3. Vine Report believes that with Activision already confirming a new entry in the "Call of Duty" franchise, it will focus its E3 participation on "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." This is certainly plausible, since the upcoming game is a new addition to the franchise. Moreover, with the release date for the new title – the "Infinite Warfare" installment is set for November – confirmed to be before the holidays, Activision is expected to pool all its resources for the upcoming new game.
Meanwhile, as fans wait for details on the third DLC pack for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," the current expansion content, "Eclipse" is now live. The new DLC adds four new maps to the multiplayer feature, including a remake of the "Banzai" map in "Call of Duty: World at War," as well as a new Zombie experience, "Zetsubou no Shima."
"Eclipse" is now available for the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" title on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as part of the Season Pass. The new expansion is also available as a stand-alone download for $14.99.
