'Brooklyn Nets' Jeremy Lin injury update: Point guard possible to be cleared to run and jump by April

After making a solid progress in his rehab for his knee injury, 29-year-old "Brooklyn Nets" point guard Jeremy Lin could be cleared to run and jump by April.

Back in October, during the fourth quarter of the National Basketball Association (NBA) season opener game against the Indiana Pacers, the basketball player ruptured his patellar tendon after landing badly from an attempt to drive to the basket. After sustaining the injury, he looked at his team coach, Kenny Atkinson, before saying "I'm done, I'm done." Soon after, he gave in to tears, crying out in pain. He was assisted to the locker room not long after and the next day, "Brooklyn Nets" announced that he was finished for the 2017–18 season. Watch the video of his fall.

Lin has continued to update his fans on his rehab progress. In November, he was interviewed on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, where he spoke about his injury. With the interview conducted in Chinese, he told fans how he can already bend his knees and walk normally. A day after, a video of him working out was posted.

In December, he posted an Instagram story showing himself cycling. He also asked his fans to pray for him, requesting, "Please pray for continued recovery of my body. As I progress in my rehab, I will be focusing on also tweaking some of my previous movement patterns to become more efficient, so please pray that this goes smoothly and that I am a fast learner. haha."

This January, he started posting videos of himself updating his fans about his rehab progress using the hashtag #NeverDone. In his latest video, he told his fans he has been working on his weaknesses, pushing himself out of his comfort zone in the process, with the aim of getting stronger and better.
