Bella Thorne news: Thanks fans on Instagram for showing support

Former Disney child star Bella Thorne has recently come forward stating that she was a victim of molestation for a very long period of time as a minor. Thorne released a statement on her social media page, concisely sharing what it was like for her growing up, and that she was molested constantly. Most recently, Thorne thanked her fans for showing her support for coming forward with such a difficult issue.

On Thorne's official Instagram post, she stated that she had been molested as far as she can remember until she hit the age of 14. She then shared what it was like for her, in that she would wait at night for the alleged person to walk into her room and take advantage of her. Thorne has not yet identified the person responsible for the sexual abuse that she had endured as a child, but it is safe to assume that the person is someone close to her or her family.

After the positive feedback and support that Thorne received from her fans, she responded with a video on Instagram, and thanked them. Additionally, she also addressed some of her fans that are going through the same thing that she had in the past, telling them to "stay strong." As it turns out, Thorne sharing her own experience urged other netizens to tell their own stories as well, which affected Thorne on a personal level as well.

Back in December, Thorne responded to one of the inquiries made through Twitter, asking if she was molested as a child. She stated that she indeed was, and made it clear that Disney was not responsible for the sexual misconduct that Thorne went through. After that aforementioned tweet, Thorne followed up with another one stating that "The world can be a sick place sometimes."
