Disney's live-action remake of their beloved animated classic "Beauty and the Beast" was a worldwide success. However, it does make people wonder if a "Beauty and the Beast 2" would ever be made, as the animated film was followed by a sequel called "The Enchanted Christmas." Dan Stevens, who plays the Beast, would certainly be up for a sequel.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight recently, Stevens said that people often ask if a sequel to "Beauty and the Beast" could be possible. Yet, it is not a question that he could answer and that decision remains with the studio's executives.

"I don't know what form that would take? But I'd be interested to hear if anybody has got any pitches," said the actor.

Stevens' co-star, Emma Watson, who plays Belle, would also love a sequel to happen and she has an idea of how the second film could go. Watson shared to Access Hollywood that she always thought that Belle would become a teacher, running a library in the castle, and opening it up to the rest of the village.

However, Stevens and Watson are not the only ones who are on board for a second film. Luke Evans, who plays Gaston, and Josh Gad, who plays LeFou, have their own ideas for the second film. Speaking to People, Gad shared that instead of bringing back the whole cast, a spin-off movie starring their characters would be a great idea for the sequel.

"Gaston with a broken arm, and will probably be pushed on a wheelchair. The two of them travel Europe looking for other potential suitors for Gaston. Could be 'Weekend at Bernie's' style - me and Stanley Tucci's character just holding him up," said Gad.

Evans agreed to Gad's idea, and added that they could do something similar to another classic, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" where Gaston would be nursing his broken heart and broken ego after Belle turned him down in favor of the Beast, so he turns to LeFou for a new adventure.
