'Avengers: Infinity War' news: Fans unhappy about new sneak peek

Some fans of Marvel and Disney are at war with the studio after a sneak peek trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" was released, as they claim the clip was disappointing.

The sneak peek in question was apparently just some recycled footage from the previous trailers and contained nothing new, which made some fans angry. It seems that the new trailer Marvel released was just a shorter, slightly re-cut version of the original "Infinity War" trailer. Some loyal and dedicated fans even stayed up until early morning just to catch a glimpse of the trailer as it was released, only to end up disgruntled.

This makes fans worried about the state of the marketing campaign for the movie, but some believe that Marvel may simply be reserving the good footage for the upcoming Super Bowl. The tweet containing the trailer has since been deleted due to the overwhelmingly negative viewer reception.

That being said, there was nothing to miss anyway since the unanimous verdict for the latest sneak peek was that it was a mere cut version of the previous trailers. Right now, it seems that "Infinity War" is one of the most hyped movies of 2018, as well as 2017 due to the nature and scale of the movie, which makes it a super-culmination of what the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has accomplished so far.

The upcoming "Avengers" movie features all the superheroes, and quite possibly some supervillains of the previous MCU movies banding together to stop an omnipotent threat in the form of Thanos, the Titan, based on Greek mythology's God of Death. What makes the movie more interesting is that not all members of the Avengers and other protagonists of the Marvel movies are expected to walk away from the battle alive.

Speculations point to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) a.k.a. Iron Man finally kicking the bucket after the huge fight, which may be one of the biggest superhero deaths in the film due to the popularity of the character. This remains to be seen, however, and might only be confirmed once "Avengers: Infinity War" on Apr. 25 worldwide.
