In a post in the game's web site, Ubisoft's CEO Yannis Mallat apologizes to gamers, in behalf of the company and the whole development team, for the bugs and technical issues. In an attempt to appease dissatisfied gamers, Ubisoft announced that it will give away the game's "Dead Kings" expansion for free to make up for the rocky launch of the latest "Assassin's Creed." This content was supposed to be included in the game's DLC pass. For those who have purchased the pass, Ubisoft will be giving away a game title for free. The game publisher is currently setting up a system on how it will deliver the free game titles to players who purchased "Assassin's Creed: Unity". The "Dead Kings" DLC, on the other hand, has been removed from sales, including from the shelves of retailers.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft rolled out the third patch for "Assassin's Creed: Unity" that includes over 300 bug fixes and updates to resolve the issues and problems in the game. The patch improves the performance, matchmaking, connectivity, and other aspects of the game.
