'Arrow' season 6 spoilers: Roy Harper returns; Thea leaving for Hub City?

Roy Harper (Colton Hayes) returns to Star City in "Arrow" season 6 episode 15. The CW

Roy Harper is returning to Star City. Colton Haynes, who played the character also known as Arsenal, exited "Arrow" back in Season 3 after faking his own death and leaving town to protect Green Arrow's secret identity. However, he is finally making a huge comeback in next week's episode 15 titled "Doppelganger."

As the synopsis reveals, what heralds the character back to Star City remains unknown but considering the episode's title, fans should not be surprised to see more than one Arsenal running around the town:

"Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) are shocked to hear that Roy Harper (guest star Colton Haynes) is back in Star City. However, when they discover the circumstances of Roy's return, Oliver and Thea realize that Roy is in trouble and jump in to save him. Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) makes a shocking discovery."

Haynes' return was announced back in December. While it will only be for a short arc, executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle teased it will come with some major implications for Thea. As they put it, "His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences..."

As usual, that is something fans would have to tune in for. However, Collider's Allison Keene predicts that the short arc may end with Holland's character leaving for Hub City with Roy. Fans have noticed the actress has had less and less appearance since season 5. Though her character is no longer in a coma right now, it seems like Holland may be looking to depart from the show. In this case, leaving Star City makes sense.

Then again, this is just pure speculation. Regardless of the implications, fans would not have to wait that long for concrete answers.

"Arrow" season 6 episode 15 airs next Thursday, March 8 on The CW.
