iOS 9.2 jailbreak release updates: Pangu's collaborator successful in building jailbreak tool?

 Apple Developers

The long-awaited iOS 9.2 jailbreak is still absent, while Apple rapidly moves along with its software updates. The Cupertino-based company just put out the second beta version of the iOS 9.3 and it won't be long before the final version of the software will be out.

The biggest news about the beta is that it limits the Apple Pencil's functions by fully eliminating its general navigation tools. Apple wants users to simply use the accessory as a drawing instrument, according to Apple Insider.

Hacker groups TaiG and Pangu are still hard at work in developing the iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool, but to no avail. At one point, the former was apparently close to cracking the case but goes back to square one after experiencing glitches, according to some reports.

Italian developer Luca Todesco, however, managed to jailbreak into the iOS 9.2.1 beta. He admitted that it is more difficult to gain access in this version than the previous OS version, and refused to make his iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak tool public.

A partner of Pangu has successfully developed an iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool, but it has yet to make its plans of releasing it to iOS users, according to Latin Post.

Meanwhile, Crossmap seems to have a found a way for users to be able to update to Apple iOS 9.3 when it goes live and still downgrade -- eventhough Apple prohibits the action -- and still use the iOS 9.2 jailbreak in the event it becomes available. Those who want to try it can follow the step-by-step guide provided by the site. This should get fans ready for jailbreaking but still allow them to enjoy the new stuff Apple has to offer.

So far, the hacking teams who usually come out with jailbreak tools have no comments on the release of the iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool.
