Although HTC is the co-maker of the recently-released Google Pixel, the tech maker has yet to come out with its own lineup of Android Nougat-run iterations.

However, supposed leaks for the upcoming HTC Bolt suggest that the company will be starting with a mid-range iteration that will come out with Android Nougat right out of the box, instead of a flagship.

According to GSM Arena, the upcoming HTC Bolt will be coming out with the new Android Nougat platform from the day of its release. However, it is unclear if the upcoming iteration will be released with the base 7.0 version, or the Android Nougat 7.1 upgrade. It should be noted that another lineup, the HTC-made Google Pixel, is already running on Android 7.1.

Meanwhile, the industry follower also mentioned that contrary to previous reports, the HTC Bolt will seem to have a global release. It is said that aside from a U.S. release, the new iteration will also be launched in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Previous reports said that being a mobile carrier device, the HTC Bolt is likely to be an exclusive release in the United States.

As for the U.S. release, it is already certain that it will be launched by Sprint, although it is yet to be confirmed if a global, unlocked version will also be available in the U.S. market.

Regarding what fans can expect from the upcoming iteration, no specs details are yet available for the HTC Bolt. However, it is expected that it will carry mid-range specs and a number of above-average lineup features, such as a fingerprint scanner. It is also said that the upcoming HTC Bolt is the company's first device to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack. While still unconfirmed, the lack of the standard headphone port feature is certainly possible. One competitor, Apple, has already started the shift, releasing its new iPhone 7 flagship without the standard headphone jack.
