'American Horror Story' season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Twisty's real identity to be revealed in 'Massacres and Matinees?'

"American Horror Story" season 4 episode 2 will feature Twisty the Clown. Could his real identity be revealed in the episode?

According to CarterMatt.com, that's not the only surprise fans are going to enjoy. Entitled "Massacres and Matinees," episode 2 will actually follow the premiere episode, meaning, the next episode will also run for 90 minutes.  Ryan Murphy, creator of "American Horror Story," made the announcement via Twitter.

He said, "Because we love our FREAK SHOW fans, next week's episode is also 90 minutes...just like the premiere! Wait until you meet Michael & Angela!"

Murphy is referring to Michael Chiklis who plays Dell, the strongest man, and Angela Bassett, who plays the three-breasted lady. CarterMatt reports that Michael and Angela's relationship in the show will affect Dell's relationship with Jimmy. Jimmy is his freak son who has lobster claw-like hand. Jimmy is played by Evan Peters.

However, there is one "Freak Story" character that hogged the spotlight since the Season 4 debut, and it's none other than Twisty the Clown, played by John Carroll Lynch. As a result, there will be more exploration of Twisty's storyline, which also means that fans will get to see the person behind the mask.

Showrunner Murphy confirms this through Twitter. He wrote: "In FOUR DAYS, you will see what Twisty is hiding behind that mask."

Twisty the Clown surely made an impact in the debut episode. Variety was able to keep tabs on how "AHS" fans and audience reacted to the return of the TV series. According to the publication, the debut episode for Season 4 had higher ratings than in the past three years. It had a 3.11 rating in adults 18 to 49, with 6.127 million viewers.

The freakishness of "American Horror Story: Freak Story" sure is a success for everyone who likes the horror drama anthology. And with these new characters gracing the screen, it won't be a surprise if the ratings remain consistent all the way to the ending. And by the way, "AHS" has been picked up for a 5th season already!

Viewers who want to see who Twisty is must not miss "Massacres and Matinees" on Oct. 15 on FX.
