Tonight, 11 pairs will begin their race all over the world in a bid to win the US$1 million grand prize in "The Amazing Race" season 27.

For this season, three teams are composed of TV personalities who will compete with other teams from all walks of life to become the first contestants to reach the finish line. The personalities include TMZ correspondents Shevonne Sullivan and Kelly Berning, dating KEYT-TV news reporters Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttitta, and dancing brothers Ernest "E-Knock" Phillips and Jayjion "Jin Lao" Greer who both joined the "America's Best Dance Crew."

Back in June, a post on the official Twitter account of "The Amazing Race" invited fans to see the new set of teams take off for their first destination, which CBS revealed to be Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was also reported that season 27 will cover a total of 34,000 miles in five continents and 10 countries.

According to PEOPLE,  after Rio de Janeiro, the contestants will endure different challenges in Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hong Kong and Macau in China, Krakow in Poland, Long Island in New York, Paris in France, San Antonio de Areco in Argentina, and Victoria Falls in Zambia.

The new season will also feature the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands and Zimbabwe, where they will free fall into the Batoka Gorge and swim with crocodiles, a challenge to be done for the first time in the history of the long-running reality competition.

"The Amazing Race" season 27 will air on CBS at 7 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 25. Fans can also catch the premiere episode via live stream on CBS.com.
