Adobe Photoshop is the most used photo editor out there, and it is certainly a favorite of professional photographers, graphic designers, and even novices who just want to do some tiny retouches to their photos. The Adobe Lightroom, on the other hand, is both a photo editor and photo management solution, which users can use as a database for all their pictures and, at the same time, use for manipulating photos all they want.
Lightroom 6 is expected to be an improved version of the Adobe Lightroom. But since it's still several months away from the official release of the software, Adobe Lightroom fans have to settle with the mobile version at the moment.
The mobile Lightroom isn't all that bad. After all, it has 200,000 users a month, according to CNET. In an interview with Photokina, Tom Hagarty, director of product management, revealed this information and said that Adobe should expand to the mobile market, given how successful Lightroom mobile has become.
Apple's Aperture, which was once a favorite, may have been toppled down by Adobe's Lightroom already. Both applications have the same features, and since there's no more Aperture, mobile users can now focus on Adobe Lightroom instead.
The Adobe Lightroom is mostly used by professionals, especially when it comes to doing touch ups and changes in lighting. These professionals took it upon themselves to air their suggestions and requests in the official forums of Adobe.
Most of those that were included in their wish list were making Lightroom friendlier, and tailor-making the software to their professional needs. They also want the application to perform better as it can greatly help their work become more efficient. To date, professionals still prefer Adobe Lightroom over anything else, and these guys will certainly be waiting for the release of Adobe Lightroom 6.
Adobe Lightroom 6 is said to be released on March 2015.
