Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 release date: Tablet to launch at CES 2015?

The release of the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 created a new threat to Samsung as Apple continues to dominate the tablet market. In order to counter this, Samsung is reportedly thinking of releasing a new tablet – the 2015 Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. 

The 2015 Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is the updated version of the current model that boasts a large12.2-inch Super Clear LCD display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and is equipped with an octa-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. At the back, the Samsung tablet sports an 8-megapixel camera and 9500 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is available in 32 GB and 64 GB with microSD slot of up to 64 GB. 

The 2014 version was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show, which sparked speculations that its successor will also be launched next month if Samsung chooses to follow its usual release date. 

Meanwhile, some reports claim that Samsung is currently working on the new generation of Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which will be released soon. Tech website Phone Arena reported that an unannounced tablet was spotted in Samsung's website. However, aside from a mere mention of the name, Samsung has not revealed the specs and features of the upcoming tablet. Moreover, it is unconfirmed whether the leak was an accident or intentional. 

The Galaxy Note 10.1 packs a 10.1 inch LCD screen display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, Snapdragon 800 ,and S Pen stylus. 

The current Galaxy Note 10.1 model was released in October 2013 that is why it was initially expected that its successor would be released in October, but Samsung denied the public of the tablet. Thus, hopes are up that the tech company will announce the tablet next month at the aforementioned tech conference. 

However, Samsung has not confirmed any of the rumors yet.
