'19 kids and Counting' stars Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, Jill and Derick Dillard news and update

TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" is back with its premiere episode "Duggars and Mothers." Just like the old times, the episode was packed with wholesome family fun and a lot of tidbits between Jessa and Ben and Jill and Derick.

"Duggars and Mothers" was an episode about Jessa and Ben's courtship, Jill and Derick's wedding planning and also about their mothers. The episode picks up a few months away from the wedding and the family is busy making the wedding plans.

The Duggars are really no experts in wedding planning given that Jill is the first daughter to walk down the aisle. Not to mention, the Duggars only have three months to plan the wedding and embark on new territory. Michelle is getting worried as she and Jill doesn't really know what they have to do.

Meanwhile, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Derick's mother is sick with lymphoma and she has to get treatments for it in the hospital. She got the lumps on her neck checked and it was finally diagnosed. Now that she's busy with treatment, she will no longer be majorly included in the wedding planning, which is also a good thing.

Wedding planning aside, the Duggars also celebrated Mother's Day on the same episode and they celebrated with a huge dinner. Everyone was invited, including Derick's family and Ben Seewald. Derick's mom couldn't make it, but his brother and his brother's girlfriend did.

However, Derick's mom couldn't miss the entire event as it is Mother's Day after all. The Duggars were able to think of a solution—video-chat. She greeted the Duggars from her home and she appeared to be doing better.

At the dinner, Jim Bob took the initiative to invite Ben to live in the guest house for a bit. Seeing that Jessa and Ben are in a long-distance relationship, the family deems that having Ben live nearby should enable him to test and see how far the man is willing to go for Jessa's hand in marriage.

The Duggar kids quickly fixed and cleaned the guest house and Jessa designed it. Of course, Ben accepted the invitation and he loved what Jessa did with the place. Ben was tested very early as Jessa's sister tried to intimidate him with tons of work, but Ben didn't cave in at all.

As for Jill and Derick, Jim Bob welcomed them into their home as a wedding gift. The patriarch of the family said that they can stay until he sells the house - it's so huge anyway.
